Antitrust Practice

Valle Makoff provides legal representation to clients in disputes and investigations under federal and California antitrust (competition) laws involving alleged price fixing schemes, mergers and acquisitions, price discrimination, predatory and below-cost pricing and statutory and common law unfair competition.

We represented digital motion picture editing equipment vendor Glen Holly Entertainment, Inc. in a multi-national federal and state antitrust action involving the market for sale and lease of non-linear (digital) motion picture editing equipment. The case resulted in a published Ninth Circuit opinion on standing to bring antitrust claims (Glen Holly Entertainment Inc. v. Tektronix Inc., 343 F.3d 1000 (9th Cir. 2002)).
